Need a day cream for glowing skin?

Atlantis-Glowing-Skin-Day-Cream Need a day cream for glowing skin?

Are you looking for a day cream for glowing skin? Our personal recommendations at the moment are centred around the wonderful Atlantis Skincare (whose products are available on here). Atlantis have got five products available on Abloomnova, a day cream, a night cream (our personal fave!), an eye cream, a toner and a cleanser.

In terms of day cream we’re in love with their Glowing Skin Day Cream which has actually reduced the need for foundation and blusher recently. We are pretty delighted with the results, and what makes it even better is that the whole experience is guilt-free: the product is completely cruelty-free, it is 100% all natural and organic where possible. All we need is a shiny halo over each product and the look would be complete!

Following its “glowing skin” promise we looked at the ingredients, and with our trained eyes, we spotted the items that were clearly working hard on our tired winter skin. So, in no particular order, and in the form of an Oscar winner’s speech, we would like to thank the following natural ingredients in our pots of Atlantis Skincare Glowing Skin Day Cream.

Hamamelis virginiana leaf water – This ingredient has been a lifesaver during this long, harsh winter. Otherwise known as witch hazel, this enhances the appearance of dry or damaged skin and helps to decrease flakiness. It brings back suppleness to the skin. This ingredient has been a lifesaver during this long, harsh winter.

Coffea arabica seed oil – this has been put in, we imagine, to give a healthier, smoother look and feel. This oil is said to stimulate pathways in skin that lead to greater moisture retention. And when we run in from freezing temperatures to central heated buildings, we need this!

Solanum lycopersicum seed oil – This is basically tomato seed oil and is mega powerful. It is a rich source of polyunsaturated fatty acids and phytosterols. The lipid antioxidants also include different forms of vitamin E. Studies have shown that both carotenoid and vitamin E antioxidants are vital components of the protective system against oxidative stress of human skin.

Theobroma grandiflorum seed butter – this is also known as Cupuacu butter and is a really good alternative to more traditional and animal-unfriendly lanolin. This butter is a soft and nourishing emollient and easily absorbs water and so a great moisturiser. It consists of various beneficial fatty acids (including palmitic, stearic and oleic acids), plant polyphenols and sterols. The plant polyphenols in cupuaçu butter act as antioxidants, which help destroy the atoms, or groups of atoms commonly referred to as ‘free radicals’ that occur as a result of normal human metabolism and exposure to sunlight, pollution and cigarette smoke. So – we might be reversing the hands of time.

Try it out anyway, if nothing else, it is just really, really good for your skin.
