Should I use eye serum?

Are you using any type of eye serum or eye cream? Chances are, that your eyes would really benefit from some special treatment.

As we age, eyes will be the first to let everyone know about it. With crows feet, bags and fine lines, eyes really are the windows of our souls.

And thanks to Red Magazine who let us in on the importance of eye serums and how we should all be applying it to our peepers. In an age where we’re virtually glued to one screen or another, the incidence of dry eye syndrome and other eye-related problems are officially on the rise. But, thanks to late nights (just one more episode on the iPad…) and squint-as-you-scroll, the skin surrounding the eye isn’t exempt, either.

So, where to start? A great eye serum is the first step, of course. Guinot Longue Vie Yeux Serum – Longue Vie Eye Serum is an incredibly powerful eye serum, packed with incredible ingredients that deliver outstanding results to the eyes.

LOOKING AFTER YOUR EYES

After cleansing, dispense one pump of the serum onto the ring finger of one hand, distributing it onto your other ring finger by pressing them together. (Experts recommend using your ring finger, as it’s weaker than your index and middle finger, allowing you to treat the area with due delicacy.)

Starting at the inner corner of each eye, press the product along the eye socket, applying a little pressure – just enough to stimulate the area. Continue until your temples and finish at the upper inner corner of your eyes. If the product has sunk in without trace, skin is thirsty and you can afford to repeat.

Finally, continue with the rest of your skincare routine as normal! (By the way, some facialists apply eye cream after serum and moisturiser; some between the two. We say: do whatever feels right to you.)
